Ajax Systems launches 3 new high-performance smoke detectors

With the FireProtect 2 RB / SB (Heat/CO), the FireProtect 2 RB / SB (Heat) and the FireProtect 2 RB / SB (CO), three new high-performance smoke detectors from Ajax Systems are now available.

Ajax Systems, one of the top providers of security technology, will soon be delivering three new smoke detectors that impress with both their performance and their modern design. These are the following models:

• FireProtect 2 RB / SB (Heat /CO)
• FireProtect 2 RB / SB (Heat)
• FireProtect 2 RB / SB (CO)

The smoke detectors are each available in a version with a built-in battery (SB) or with a replaceable battery (RB). The built-in battery enables operation for up to ten years. A replaceable battery lasts up to seven years.

All three devices are wireless smoke detectors, each with different features.

The FireProtect 2 RB / SB (Heat/CO) has heat and CO sensors. With the help of two thermistors, it can react quickly to the burning of plastics, while the carbon monoxide sensor triggers an alarm before the concentration of the dangerous gas in the air reaches a dangerous level.

The FireProtect 2 RB / SB (Heat) is also equipped with thermistors that detect the burning of plastics, so that in the event of danger, the built-in high-performance siren with 85 dB can be triggered and warning messages can be sent to the Ajax apps.

The FireProtect 2 RB / SB (CO) warns of life-threatening CO concentrations in the air. It also has a powerful siren. Different tones are available for different threats and events. Warning messages are also sent to the Ajax apps.

Events and alarms are also signaled via an LED display. Tests can be triggered and a triggered alarm can be silenced using a large button.

Modern and elegant design

All three smoke detectors have a modern and elegant design. The patented smoke chamber is impenetrable to dust and insects, so the risk of false alarms is significantly reduced. Cleaning is not necessary. The high-precision optical dual-spectrum sensor does not react to steam and detects smoke by particle size.

The detectors communicate wirelessly over a distance of up to 1700 meters. Paired detectors can be activated within 20 seconds.

Easy installation and protection against manipulation

The FireProtect 2 RB / SB smoke detectors can be installed quickly and easily using the SmartBracket mounting plate. The detector does not have to be dismantled for this. The detector can be freely aligned within a radius of 90 degrees.

Two tamper switches detect when the smoke chamber is opened and when the detector is removed from its bracket.
