- Innovative system for building security, video surveillance and smart home control as the successor to the award-winning XT3
- Up to 480 hazard detectors can be connected wirelessly and interact over a range of up to 2 kilometers
- Efficient, energy-saving and safe through the dark season: access to all functions even when you are away via the LUPUS app
- No cloud and encryption at the highest level
The German manufacturer LUPUS-Electronics is expanding its range with the new LUPUS XT4 smart home alarm system. The successor model to the popular LUPUS-XT3 offers users a variety of technical advantages to make the property safe and intelligent during the dark season. The innovative system protects against burglary, robbery, fire, water, gas leaks and even provides support in medical emergencies with up to 480 Pro sensors. Thanks to the new, improved radio standard, the XT4 enables ranges of up to two kilometers to the sensors. The additional live video connection to up to eight permanently installed IP cameras creates transparency - no matter where users are. All functions can be connected to one another and controlled from anywhere in the world via an app.
"With a range of up to 2 kilometers, the new LUPUS -XT4 stands out clearly from its predecessor thanks to the proprietary radio standard based on 868 MHz. Users can integrate up to 480 Pro sensors into the system. The XT4 Plus is therefore the ideal product for making large houses, properties or small to medium-sized companies safe and intelligent," explains LUPUS-Electronics Managing Director Matthias Wolff.
The new LUPUS-XT4 can be operated via smartphone, PC, tablet, Amazon Alexa or analog remote control. Intelligent controls for heating, roller shutters and electrical devices prove to be efficient, energy-saving and safe. This means that processes and schedules can be individually adapted. The intelligent software thus supports both the comfort of being present and the simulation of presence for burglary protection. Controlled power, temperature, light and roller shutter events are possible, among other things. If an alarm is triggered by the sensors, the customer receives a push notification, email, SMS or a call to a device of their choice. An emergency center can optionally be alerted, which intervenes if the person concerned cannot react.
The associated LUPUS app is available for iOS and Android devices. The web interface is intuitive and can be 100% customized to personal preferences - so current events and alarm status displays can be viewed at a glance. Direct access to the sensors or changes to the automation circuits are possible from the start screen.
Data protection and secure connections are top priority: LUPUS-Electronics does not use servers, clouds or data octopuses. The control center supports secure end-to-end 256-bit TLS encryption for connections to and from the XT4. All data is processed exclusively in this control center. Every operating accessory is encrypted with a rolling code. Sensors, control center and radio connection are thus permanently protected against external sabotage. A direct connection is always established to the end device. Server failures and server security are therefore not important for the LUPUS-XT4. In the event of an Internet failure, a second, redundant alarm path is used via a 4G GSM mobile radio module. The system absorbs power failures with a 16-hour emergency power supply from an integrated lithium battery.
No structural changes are necessary for easy installation. The XT4 can be easily put into operation with a setup assistant and manual quick guide. New components can be integrated into the system with just a few clicks. With over 70 components, LUPUS-Electronics offers the largest range of accessories from a single source on the market. Smart products from other manufacturers, such as Apple Homekit, can be integrated into the system.
The new LUPUS-XT4 is N 50131 Grade 2 certified.
