We waste energy

"The last one to leave turns off the light" - a phrase we are all familiar with. And yet we often forget to turn off the light when we leave a room. If the light is on for hours, the electricity meter will continue to run. You are using unnecessary energy, which you then have to pay for.

The same applies to heating. Rooms are often heated when no one is in them. In the cold months, we leave the heating on so that the apartment or house does not get too cold and we are nice and warm when we get home. After all, we cannot go home in between to turn the heating up.
