Please note the following points to ensure stable Wi-Fi reception for your camera:
- Check as closely as possible at the location where the camera is being used how strong the signal of your home network/Wi-Fi is there, for example by holding a smartphone or tablet to the location of the camera.
- The reception should be at least in the medium range to ensure a consistently stable connection from your router to the camera.
Tips if the Wi-Fi range is too poor or the reception on the camera is reduced:
- Check connection between antenna and camera (where external antenna is present)
- Increase the router's transmission power (in the router's settings)
- Position router closer to camera
- Signal amplifier sets are available for some camera models. You can see which set is compatible with which camera here .
- Use a WLAN repeater to extend/amplify the router’s WLAN signal
- Check camera position or objects in the vicinity of the camera (metallic objects near the camera can increase or decrease the signal strength)
