We recommend that you always operate your camera with the latest firmware (camera software) to keep it up to date in terms of security and functionality.
To perform a firmware update , the camera must contain a microSD memory card (included in the above models).
Firmware updates are always carried out "over the air": the App2Cam Plus establishes a connection to ABUS via the Internet and searches for the current firmware version. If the app finds a newer firmware version than the one currently installed on the camera, this newer version is stored on the camera's memory card. The update itself can then take up to 15 minutes.
- In the app, go to: Overview > Live View > Camera Settings > Device Settings
- Tap “Check for firmware update”.
- Then exit the settings.
- After about 5 minutes you will receive a push notification indicating that the update is available.
- In the app, go to: Overview > Live View > Camera Settings > Device Settings
- Tap “Install firmware update now”.
- This starts the update process. The update may take several minutes and is completed as soon as access to the live image is possible again.
