Export/save settings
# Secvest Touch wireless alarm system (FUAA50500)
Reading time: approx. 3 minutes
As an installer, you save or export the existing Secvest configuration including detector IDs (= create backup) in installer mode:
- either using the web interface on a connected PC
- or using the Local User Interface to the internal SD card.
The configuration file has the format: Secvest–dd-mm-yyyy-hhmm.cfg
The format shows the date and time of the backup, e.g. Secvest–21.09.2018-1700.cfg
You can find out how to load or restore the configuration here .
requirements
In order to create a backup of the Secvest configuration, the following requirements must be met:
- The storage medium is ready:
Either a Micro SD card (included) inserted into the alarm panel for backup using the local user interface.
Or a connected PC for backup using the web interface.
Create backup
When creating a backup, the alarm center creates a configuration file. The configuration file has the format: Secvest–21-09-2018-1700.cfg
21-09-2018 = 21.09.2018 = the export date
1700 = 17:00 o'clock = the export time
via web interface and PC
- Log in as an installer using the Secvest web interface .
- Go to Installer Mode > System > Backup/Restore .
- Click the Backup button.
Depending on which browser you use, the backup/configuration file will be saved in the standard download folder of the connected PC or the Save dialog will open.
- If necessary: Use your PC/laptop to copy the saved configuration file to the alarm control panel's SD card that you want to remove if you want to import the file from the SD card into the Secvest.
- To do this, create the folder “Config” on the Mirco SD card if it does not already exist.
You can find out how to load or restore the configuration here .
via local user interface and Micro SD card
- Log in as an installer using the Secvest local user interface .
- Go to Installer Mode > System > Backup/Restore .
- Select “Backup Config to SD Card”.
The display shows the message “File written”.
If no backup has been saved to the Micro SD card, the alarm center creates a new folder called “Config” there.
The alarm center will write all configuration files to this folder in the future. Older configuration files will be retained.
You can find out how to load or restore the configuration here .
You can find out how to reset the Secvest to factory settings (almost completely or gradually) here .
