When and how do detectors signal? What is the reason or cause of the alarm? Why alarm?
# Secvest Touch wireless alarm system (FUAA50500)
Reading time: approx. 4 minutes
Almost simultaneously with the reaction of the alarm center itself, the Secvest controls any connected/configured alarm devices. Depending on the alarm device, the alarm manifests itself differently:
- acoustic (= e.g. siren)
- optical (= e.g. flash light)
- silent (= e.g. dialer)
An alarm originating from the Secvest can basically have the following causes:
- Sabotage (e.g. by opening the housing cover or removing the housing from the wall)
- Burglary (e.g. by opening an opening detector )
- Fire (e.g. by detecting smoke through a smoke alarm )
- Attack (e.g. by manually triggering an attack transmitter/button )
- Medical emergency (e.g. by manually triggering an emergency transmitter )
- Emergency care call (e.g. by manually triggering an emergency call transmitter )
- Technology (e.g. by detecting water with a water detector )
- Entry time exceeded (or deviated from the entry route)
- Exit time exceeded
- Incorrect configuration, e.g. installer has not programmed entry/exit time
- incorrect use, e.g. user has forgotten to deactivate alarm center and triggers a motion detector
When the Secvest uses which alarm type (internal, local, external, silent) depends on the configuration, including the sub-areas , and the status of the alarm center (deactivated, activated or internally activated).
In order to get the correct response from the alarm panel, the installer must set a zone type for each corresponding zone of the Secvest in the installer mode, e.g.:
- "Fire"
- “Normal Alarm”
- “Robbery Alarm”
- and many more …
Almost simultaneously with the reaction of the alarm control panel itself, the Secvest controls any connected/configured alarm devices via its outputs.
Depending on the alarm device, the alarm manifests itself differently:
- acoustic (= e.g. siren)
- optical (= e.g. flash light)
- silent (= e.g. voting machine)
Or depending on the configuration and status of the alarm center:
- internal
- local
- external
- quiet
In order to obtain the correct reaction from the connected alarm devices, the installer must select the correct configuration for each Secvest component or an output type for each corresponding output, e.g.:
- "Fire"
- “Burglar alarm”
- “Nursing emergency call”
- and many more …
