In order for cameras to take clear pictures in the dark, they need (infrared) light. The semi-discrete IR illuminator L provides cameras with the necessary light even in absolute darkness. The IR LEDs provide infrared light for night shots with a wavelength of 850 nm. The IR illuminator is suitable for both black and white and day/night cameras.

Can also be used in extreme weather conditions
The range of the IR light emitter depends on the light sensitivity of the camera. At 0.1 lux, the range is around 100 meters. The beam angle is 30° (horizontal). The IR emitter is dustproof and protected against strong water jets (IP66). It can therefore be used outdoors at temperatures between -10°C and +50°C without any problems. Its maximum power consumption is 18 watts.

Automatic day/night switching semi-discrete LEDs
The IR emitter detects dusk or darkness using an integrated photo sensor and then switches on automatically. If the brightness is sufficient, e.g. from daylight, it switches off. The IR emitter L 850nm, 30° is a semi-discrete IR emitter.

The wavelength of this emitter is approximately 850 nm, which is slightly shorter than the wavelength (940 nm) of a discrete emitter of the same type. The advantage of the semi-discrete emitter is its greater range. The reddish shimmer of its LEDs can only be faintly seen in the immediate vicinity of the emitter.
