Each proposed MyPBX s2 module allows the parameterization of two analog outputs on an IP telephone system.
FXS and FXO are the names for the ports used by the telephone lines, also called BOTS (Basic and Old Telephone Service).
FXS is the interface between the external subscription and the port that actually sends the analog line to the subscriber. It is responsible for sending ring tones, battery power and call voltage.
The FXO is the interface or foreign exchange port that receives the analog line, be it a telephone, a fax or the port of your analog telephone exchange. It is responsible for reporting an open or closed line.
