RAK Wireless WisGate RAK7244P PoE

LoRaWAN™ Gateway (with built-in PoE module)

overview

The WisGate Developer D4 (RAK7244) is a successor to the WisGate Developer D3 (RAK7243). This device consists of a Raspberry Pi 4, a RAK2245 Pi HAT that includes a GPS module and a heatsink for better performance and heat dissipation management, and an optional RAK2013 Cellular Pi HAT. Its housing is made entirely of aluminum.
The built-in RAK2245 Pi HAT uses Semtech's SX1301 RF front-end chip, which is a powerful LoRa® digital processing engine. It is capable of receiving up to 8 LoRa® packets simultaneously, sent with different spreading factors on different channels, and is available in multiple variants so that it can be used for all LoRa Alliance® frequency bands. This unique capability enables the implementation of innovative network architectures, which is an advantage over other short-range systems. The built-in RAK2013 Cellular Pi HAT is based on Quectel's EG95, an LTE CAT4 module specifically optimized for M2M and IoT applications.
The WisGate Developer D4 is a Class A and C compliant module that is ideal for prototypes, proof-of-concept demonstrations or for evaluating future deployment scenarios. It includes ready-to-use firmware based on Raspbian OS that allows the gateway to connect to any standard LoRaWAN® server. It is developer friendly as the large Raspbian OS community is well established. It is particularly suitable to address a wide range of applications such as smart grids, smart farms and other IoT enterprise applications.
Please note that you cannot add the WisLink Cellular Pi HAT RAK2013 later without modifying the RAK2245 board in the gateway and integrating it into the WisGate Developer RAK7243/44.
