Dragino CPN01 is an NB-IoT dry contact sensor. It detects the opening/closing status and transmits the information to the IoT server via the NB-IoT network. The user can see the dry contact status, opening time and number of openings on the IoT server.

The CPN01 sends data periodically every day and at every dry contact action. It also counts the contact opening times and calculates the last opening duration. Users can also disable the uplink for each opening/closing event, instead the device can count each opening event and send the uplink periodically.

CPN01 has an opening alarm function that the user can set so that CPN01 sends an alarm when the contact has been open for more than a certain time.

CPN01 is designed for outdoor use. It has a weatherproof housing and an industrial-grade battery to operate in low to high temperatures.

NarrowBand Internet of Things (NB-IoT) is a standards-based low-power wide-area (LPWA) technology designed to enable a wide range of new IoT devices and services. NB-IoT significantly improves user device power consumption, system capacity, and spectrum efficiency, especially in deep coverage.

CPN01 supports various uplink methods such as TCP, MQTT, UDP and CoAP for different application requirements.

CPN01 is powered by a 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery, which is designed for long-term use up to 5 years. (The actual battery life depends on the use environment, upgrade period and uplink method)

To use CPN01, the user needs to check if there is NB-IoT coverage in the area and with the Nb-IoT bands that CPN01 supports. If the local operator supports it, the user needs to obtain an NB-IoT SIM card from the operator and install it in CPN01 to get NB-IoT network connection.
