Dragino NLMS01 is a NB-IoT leaf moisture sensor for IoT in agriculture. It is designed to measure leaf moisture and temperature and send to the platform to analyze leaf status, such as: watering, humidification, dew, frost. The probe is IP67 waterproof.

NLMS01 measures leaf moisture and temperature using the FDR method. It measures the dielectric constant caused by the liquid on the leaf surface and gives the leaf moisture value. The probe is shaped like a leaf to best simulate the characteristics of a real leaf. The probe has a density of 15 leaf vein lines per centimeter, which allows it to detect small drops and higher accuracy.

NarrowBand Internet of Things (NB-IoT) is a standards-based low-power wide-area (LPWA) technology designed to enable a wide range of new IoT devices and services. NB-IoT significantly improves user device power consumption, system capacity, and spectrum efficiency, especially in deep coverage.

NLMS01 supports various uplink methods such as TCP, MQTT, UDP and CoAP for different application requirements.

The NLMS01 is powered by a 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery, which is designed for long-term use up to 5 years. (The battery life depends on the use environment, update time and uplink method).

To use NLMS01, the user needs to check if there is NB-IoT coverage in the local area and with the bands that NLMS01 supports. If the local operator supports it, the user needs to obtain an NB-IoT SIM card from the local operator and install NLMS01 to get NB-IoT network connection.
