PowerG Intelligent wireless glass break detector

The GB-502 PG2 is a bidirectional, acoustic wireless glass break detector for windows and glass doors. It is compatible with PowerMaster burglar alarm systems and PowerG receivers. It detects glass breakage on the interior walls of residential buildings and small commercial properties with high reliability, thus offering additional perimeter protection.

The GB-502 PG2 uses advanced 360° acoustic pattern recognition technology and patented microphone technology that continuously analyzes sounds. The three-stage multi-level classification allows the detector to detect events with great precision. It is so reliable that it generates virtually no false alarms.

A single detector on the wall or ceiling protects a room of up to 120 m2 by distinguishing between different types of glass when they break, such as normal window glass, tempered glass, laminated/toughened safety glass, wired glass, coated and sealed insulating glass. The detector can be installed up to 1.5 m (5 ft.) close to the glass.

Equipped with Visonic's innovative PowerG technology, the energy-efficient GB-502 PG2 combines proven yet advanced technologies with the reliable AES encryption method. This combination enables a greater range and an extended battery life of up to 5 years. The detector is fully pre-calibrated when delivered, which means that no adjustment is required during installation. It also has a tamper protection switch in the rear section, which is activated if attempts are made to remove the cover or force the device away from the wall.
